About HerNext
HerNext Network is a women-centred Pan-African institution advancing inclusive economic transformation through practical, evidence-driven interventions.
We work across enterprise, skills, agriculture, markets, finance, innovation and strategic partnerships to expand economic opportunity and create lasting impact.
Who we are
HerNext was built around a simple conviction: economic opportunity becomes transformative when people have access to the skills, resources, markets, finance, technology and relationships needed to turn potential into sustainable economic activity.
We work with women, young people, entrepreneurs, farmers, communities and strategic partners to identify barriers and develop practical responses.
Rather than assuming what people need, we listen first. We seek to understand the context, identify gaps and bring together the right capabilities to design interventions that can be implemented, measured and improved.
Our evolution
As our work has evolved, we have recognised that economic transformation requires more than individual capability.
It requires strong skills systems, productive enterprises, capable young people, resilient agricultural livelihoods, access to markets and finance, and institutions willing to collaborate around real challenges.
This is why HerNext brings together people, programmes and partners across different parts of the economic ecosystem, while keeping women at the centre of our work.
Women at the centre
Women remain at the centre of HerNext because women's economic participation is fundamental to stronger households, enterprises, communities and economies.
At the same time, economic transformation does not happen in isolation. Young people, farmers, entrepreneurs, communities and institutions are part of the wider ecosystem that creates opportunity.
We therefore work across these interconnected groups where collaboration can create stronger and more sustainable outcomes.
Our vision
An Africa where women are empowered to lead economic transformation and where young people have the skills and opportunities to participate meaningfully in Africa's future.
Our mission
To advance women's economic transformation and inclusive economic opportunity across Africa through practical, evidence-driven interventions that expand access to skills, enterprise development, markets, finance, technology, strategic partnerships and sustainable livelihoods.
Our purpose
To remove barriers to economic opportunity and strengthen the skills, enterprises, institutions and systems that enable women, young people and communities to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to Africa's economic transformation.
Our philosophy
Impact before visibility. Evidence before intervention. Sustainability before scale.
We believe meaningful change requires more than activity. We focus on understanding the challenge, designing responsibly, measuring results and building solutions that can endure.
